What to Expect

When you visit a Northwest Urgent Care, reserve your spot ahead of time and wait from the comfort of your home until your time to be seen.*

When you arrive

When you arrive at the urgent care, you’ll show us your ID and your insurance card (if you are not a self-pay patient). Payment is expected at the time of registration.

We’ll ask you to fill out some forms. If you’ve reserved your spot ahead of time, we’ll get you back to see the provider as quickly as we can. Please understand if an emergent patient comes in after you, that patient by medical necessity will be seen first.

Your visit with the provider

When you’re in the exam room, one of our staff will take your vital signs and ask you a brief history about why you are here. When your provider comes to your room, he or she will also speak with you about the health concern that brought you in, examine you and order any x-rays or diagnostic tests needed. The provider will then share the diagnosis and treatment recommendations with you.

Discharge

Once you have received your discharge instructions from the provider, our staff will show you back to the lobby. If you need to arrange for follow up care with a primary care provider (PCP) or specialist and you don’t have one, our admitting staff is happy to make an appointment for you with a PCP convenient to you.

* Because our ER and urgent care staffs must treat patients based on the severity of illness or injury, your time is not guaranteed. We will see you as close to your designated time as possible. If your symptoms worsen or you believe you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room as soon as possible.
